Easter is one of the best moments of the year to discover Morocco. In spring the valleys turn green, almond and orange trees blossom, snow still caps the High Atlas and the temperatures are ideal for both the imperial cities and the Sahara. Our local team organises private Easter tours from Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca and Tangier, with your own driver and a night among the dunes.
Why visit Morocco at Easter
- Perfect spring weatherAround 22–26°C in Marrakech and the desert by day, cool and fresh at night.
- Green valleys in bloomThe Dades and Draa valleys and the Valley of Roses are at their most beautiful.
- Ideal for familiesSchool holidays, camel rides, sandboarding and kasbahs children love.

Easter in the Sahara
Travel south over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, past the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and through the gorges of the Dades and Todra to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Ride a camel to watch the sunset, spend the night in a desert camp with Berber music around the fire and wake early for sunrise over the sand. In spring the nights are mild enough to enjoy the stars outside.

Planning tips
- Book early. Easter is one of the busiest periods; flights, riads and camps fill up weeks ahead.
- Check Ramadan dates. When Ramadan falls near Easter, tours run as normal but some restaurants close during the day.
- Pack layers. Days are warm, but desert and mountain nights can be chilly.
- Combine with the coast. Add two nights in Essaouira for fresh sea air after the desert.
