Luxury Morocco Tours, Tailored to You
Luxury Morocco tours from Morocco’s Travel pair a private 4×4 and your own driver with hand-picked boutique riads, elegant hotels and a night in a luxury desert camp in the Sahara. Our local team in Marrakech plans every detail, so you can enjoy the souks, mountains and dunes at an unhurried pace.
We have been arranging trips across Morocco for over a decade. A luxury tour follows the same well-tested routes as our standard tours, but with a higher category of accommodation, more space and more personal touches along the way.
What our luxury Morocco tours include
- Private vehicle and driver – a modern, air-conditioned 4×4 or minivan for your party only, with an experienced English-speaking driver who knows the roads, the villages and the best places to stop.
- Hotel or airport pick-up – you are met on arrival and every transfer is taken care of until your last day.
- Luxury riads and hotels – characterful boutique properties in the medinas and the mountains, with five-star palaces available on request.
- A luxury desert camp – a spacious tent with real beds, a private bathroom and dinner served by the campfire.
- Private local guides – for the medinas of Marrakech and Fes, so you see the hidden courtyards and craft workshops without getting lost.
- Tailored extras – restaurant reservations, cooking classes, hammam and spa treatments or a sunrise hot-air balloon flight over the Marrakech palm groves.
Every driver is chosen personally for professionalism, discretion and a genuine love of showing guests his country. You set the pace: stop for photographs, linger over lunch or add an extra night wherever you feel at home.
Luxury riads and boutique hotels
A riad is a traditional house built around an inner courtyard, often with a fountain, orange trees and a roof terrace. The finest luxury riads combine hand-carved cedar, zellige tilework and tadelakt plaster with modern comforts such as a plunge pool, spa and attentive staff.
- Marrakech – riads a few minutes’ walk from Jemaa el-Fna, or a garden hotel in the Palmeraie for more peace and space.
- Fes – restored merchants’ houses inside the medina, many with terrace views over the old city’s rooftops.
- Atlas Mountains and Dades Valley – kasbah lodges with gardens, pools and views of the peaks and gorges.
- Chefchaouen and Essaouira – smaller boutique guesthouses full of charm, ideal for a slower day or two.
If you have a favourite hotel, such as La Mamounia or the Royal Mansour in Marrakech, tell us and we will build the itinerary around it, subject to availability.

A luxury desert camp in the Sahara
For most travellers, the night in the dunes is the highlight of the trip. Our luxury camps sit among the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga, where some dunes rise to around 150 metres. You arrive by camel at sunset or by 4x4, settle into a private tent with a proper bed, en-suite shower and toilet, and enjoy a candlelit dinner followed by Berber music around the fire.
Merzouga is roughly a 9–10 hour drive from Marrakech (about 560 km) and 7–8 hours from Fes (about 470 km), so we always break the journey with an overnight stop in a comfortable kasbah hotel in the Dades or Todra area. Pack warm layers from November to March: desert nights are cold, even when the days are sunny. You can also add sandboarding, a quad bike ride or a longer camel trek; see more ideas among our Morocco desert tours.

Popular luxury itineraries
Any of our routes can be booked with the luxury accommodation option. These are the ones our guests choose most often:

- 8-day imperial cities and Sahara tour – Fes, Meknes, the Middle Atlas and the dunes, with time to explore each city with a private guide.
- 14-day Morocco tour from Tangier – Chefchaouen, Fes, the Sahara, Marrakech and the coast at a relaxed pace.

When to plan luxury Morocco holidays
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) bring warm days, cool evenings and the best conditions for both the cities and the desert. Summer is very hot in Marrakech, Fes and the Sahara, though early starts and riads with pools make it manageable. Winter is bright and quiet, with snow on the High Atlas and cold desert nights.
The best luxury riads and desert camps fill early, so we recommend booking two to three months ahead, especially for Easter, the autumn half-term and Christmas and New Year in Morocco.

Luxury Morocco tours: FAQ
What is the difference between a standard and a luxury tour?
The route, the private vehicle and the driver are the same. On a luxury tour you stay in higher-category riads, hotels and kasbahs, and sleep in a luxury desert camp tent with more space and a private bathroom.
How many days do you need for a luxury tour of Morocco?
Four days is enough for Marrakech, the Atlas and a night in the Sahara. With 7–10 days you can add Fes, the imperial cities and the coast without long days on the road; two weeks lets you see the whole country at a relaxed pace.
How much does a luxury Morocco tour cost?
Prices depend on group size, the accommodation you choose and the season. Each tour page shows live prices with the luxury option and lets you book online, or we can send you a free quote for a bespoke trip.
Can we combine luxury and standard nights?
Yes. Many travellers choose a luxury desert camp and a special riad in Marrakech or Fes, with comfortable standard hotels on the travel days in between.
Is Morocco safe for a luxury holiday?
Morocco is a welcoming country and the main tourist routes are well travelled. With a private driver, vetted accommodation and local guides in the medinas, everything is organised for you, and our Marrakech team is reachable throughout your trip.
