Itinerary of the 6-day tour

Day 1 : Casablanca - Rabat City - Meknes - Fez
Our journey begins at 8:30 am, where we will pick you up from your hotel in Casablanca. Our first stop will be Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, where we will explore the iconic Oudayas Kasbah and the historic Hassan Tower. Continuing our journey, we will make our way to Meknes, where we will visit the city’s top sights, including Lahdin Square and Bab Mansour. After enjoying a delicious lunch, we will then head to Fes, arriving in the late afternoon, where we will drop you off at your hotel or riad.
Day 2: Full Day To Visit Fes
After enjoying your breakfast at the riad, get ready to embark on a fascinating tour of Fes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities, which boasts a rich cultural heritage and spiritual mystique. Despite the passage of time, Fes remains remarkably unchanged, and you’ll get to experience this for yourself. The tour includes a visit to the Royal Palace gate yard and the Mellah, the former Jewish quarter, where you’ll learn about the history of the Jewish community in Morocco. You’ll also get the opportunity to visit a tile art factory and enjoy a spectacular aerial view of the city. As you stroll through the labyrinthine alleyways, your guide will take you to some of the most famous tanneries in the world, the Quaraouine Mosque, and the University, which is the oldest university in existence. You’ll also visit the Attarin Medersa and the Najjarin Fountain, both of which are steeped in history. At the end of the tour, we’ll return you to your hotel or riad, where you can reflect on the day’s discoveries and marvel at the ancient beauty of Fes.
Day 3: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Middle Atlas - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert
On this day, we will fetch you from your lodging in Fes and head towards Merzouga, passing through the Middle Atlas mountains. The journey will be delightful, with the chance to observe Berber settlements en route. Our first stop will be at Ifrane, also known as the “Moroccan Switzerland,” before continuing to the renowned cedar forest of Azrou, where you might encounter monkeys. Afterward, we will pause for lunch in the town of Midelt. Following that, we will travel through the breathtaking Ziz Valley to Erfoud, known for its yearly dates market and fossils. We will take a break there to admire the magnificent panoramic view of the oasis landscape. Once we arrive, we will enjoy dinner and spend the night at a hotel in Merzouga.
Day 4 : Full Day In The Desert (Off-road, Camel Excursions)
After breakfast at your lodging, we’ll begin the Merzouga 4×4 adventure by visiting the Hassi Labied oasis to observe its irrigation canal and land cultivation. Then, we’ll head south to the Sriji lake, which is seasonally active (depending on water availability). If you’re interested in hearing the traditional Gnawa music of dark-skinned immigrants who were brought to Morocco over a century ago and forced to work as slaves, we’ll visit the Khamlia Village. After that, we’ll continue to the M’ifis mines. During our Merzouga 4×4 desert tour, we’ll have the opportunity to visit a nomadic Berber family who still live in the Sahara, in the middle of the desert. We’ll have a glass of mint tea with them and learn about life in this harsh environment. Apart from being renowned for tourism, the Merzouga desert is also known for its minerals and fossils. After lunch at a local eatery, we’ll return to the village where you’ll have the option to embark on a camel trek to our Berber Camp in Merzouga. Along the way, we’ll stop at several panoramic viewpoints to take pictures and enjoy the stunning scenery. The camel ride typically lasts between one to one and a half hours, including a break on top of the dunes to watch the sunset, try sandboarding (if you’re interested), admire the sights, and take photographs. After these delightful moments, we’ll arrive at the camp, where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of tea and given some time to relax before dinner. Following dinner, there will be traditional Berber drumming music, and you can enjoy the starry sky before retiring to your nomadic tent for the night.
Day 5: Merzouga - Rissani - Tenghir - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
As you’re already in the desert, it’s worth waking up early to catch the sunrise near your camp this morning. After enjoying this beautiful moment, you can have breakfast and take a shower at the camp. Then, you can either ride camels or take a 4WD transfer back to the starting point to meet your driver and continue your 6-day journey. If it happens to be a market day (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), we’ll drive to the Rissani weekly market. On the way, we’ll pass through small Berber villages like Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tinghir, where we’ll stop to appreciate the picturesque Todra valley, filled with palm trees and vegetation. Then, we’ll continue to the Todra Gorge, located at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains and a popular destination for rock climbing. After stopping for lunch, we’ll head to Boumaine Dades and arrive there in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel/riad.
Day 6 : Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait ben Haddou - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
We will end our six-day journey from Casablanca today with a final drive towards Marrakech, passing through some remarkable natural and cultural sites. These include the Skoura palm grove, Rose Valley, and Kalaat M’gouna. At the Ouarzazate film studios and Kasbah Taourirte, you’ll have the option to stop and witness some impressive local landmarks. Continuing our journey, we’ll reach the renowned Ait Benhaddou kasbah, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has featured as a filming location for several movies such as Gladiator, Obelix, the Mummy, the Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara. After exploring this breathtaking location, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi N’tichka, the highest road pass in Morocco at 2260 meters above sea level. Throughout this drive, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, mountains, and Berber communities. Reviews

The reason I choose Morocco's Travel once again it is because the first time I did a tour with my family, it was a lot of fun, and I wanted to share that delight with my wife this time. She enjoyed her first experience very much. We had Hamid as our tour guide and driver, and I have to say that he is the sweetest guy on earth. To be really honest, everyone in the company is nice! Thank you for organizing our six-day trip from Casablanca.

Amazing journey via the desert, Atlas, and Berber towns. Travel that is deeply immersive with their culture. Said(the guide) is a lovely person (10/10); he assisted us in purchasing everything we needed and showed us all of their costumes, cuisine, and even his home. It is highly recommended because it was the finest thing we did throughout our 5-day vacation to Marrakech.

Said was the most incredible tour guide for our six-day journey across the Atlas Mountains and Sahara. Said was a real local who was familiar with both lesser-known attractions and the more well-known ones. He constantly went above and above to make sure we were content, well-rested, nourished, and having fun. He gets the highest recommendation from us! We hope to see you again, thanks Said!
