What to expect

Our team welcomes you at our base in Merzouga, or picks you up from your hotel or riad. After a safety briefing and a short practice session, you set off with your guide towards the dunes. The experience is adapted to your age, experience and fitness. First-timers start on gentle terrain to build confidence before heading into bigger dunes; experienced riders can tackle more challenging slopes. On longer rides you can visit oases hidden among the dunes, stop for tea with a nomad family and see the seasonal lake. Ride in the morning, or late afternoon to catch the sunset from the top of the dunes, some of which rise to about 150 m (500 ft). Merzouga is a small village in south-east Morocco on the edge of Erg Chebbi, one of the most beautiful desert landscapes in the country.
